The Brief

YSU needed signage and wayfinding refreshed across two of its highest-traffic academic buildings — Beeghly Hall and Williamson Hall. The work needed to honor the University's existing visual standards while modernizing donor recognition, room identification, and building-to-building cohesion.

The Challenge

Two buildings. Two academic colleges. Multiple stakeholders — facilities, donor relations, faculty, students. The signage had to satisfy all of them without slowing down the spaces it lived in.

The Process
  1. 01
    Survey

Multi-phase walkthroughs across both buildings to inventory existing signage and pain points.

  2. 02
    Design

Templated wayfinding system with donor-recognition variants.

  3. 03
    Installation

Phased install around the academic calendar.
