The Brief
The City of Youngstown wanted a permanent civic walk that honored the Mahoning Valley figures who shaped the city — musicians, athletes, public servants. They needed a plaque program that could grow over time with new inductees added each year, all installed to the same standard.
The Challenge
A civic install in a public park comes with permits, public works coordination, and an opening date that doesn't move. The plaques themselves had to honor the people on them — readable, respectful, and weather-tough enough to outlast the next 50 years of Independence Day photos.
- 01Design
Star-plate plaques in a consistent template — name, era, image, QR for the long story.
- 02Dig
Coordinate with city public works on permit, location, post depth, and landscape. Set posts before fabrication arrives on site.
- 03Dedicate
Land plaques in the days before the ceremony. Mounted, leveled, ready for the speeches.

Annual dedications. Plaque by plaque.
